Born in New Orleans, we grew up running around barefoot and skateboarding on homemade ramps without helmets. At times, we’ve lived on opposite sides of the world, while at others we shared a bedroom (and not just as kids). We both pulled a stint at the University of Central Florida in the early 2000s, where Court graduated with a degree in creative writing, and Jared earned a business degree. After graduating, Jared started a lifestyle brand in New Zealand with some friends, and Court got married—both endeavours went up in flames. We reunited in Washington, DC and wrote for multiple newspapers, magazines, and websites. Jared eventually became a producer for National Geographic, while Court wrote independently and taught high school English. Jared later moved to Canada to work with Lofty Sky Entertainment and Magnifissance magazine in Toronto. Court moved to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and finished his first novel. Jared moved to the Rocky Mountains of Canada where his wife founded the Alberta Classical Academy charter schools and he became deeply involved in the parent community and writing for kids.
Now we work together on an array of properties across all types of media including games, films, TV, and VR. We are a two-person writer’s room with multiple projects on the go at all times and always seeking out the next great idea.
